Falling in love with photography

My grandfather gave me a camera when I was 14, and I immediately fell in love with photography. I take a lot of photos, but only keep those that have some kind of "soul". Something I can refine through postprocessing - a possibility to spend time in a creative state of mind. Now I am looking forward to share my photos. I am using the term "fine-art" about my photography. What does that mean in this setting? It is about the photographers creativity and intentions, more than the goal to present the "reality" - event/situation/object, as realistic as possible.
